All ministry is a gift from Jesus Christ. The ministry of Jesus Christ is the basis of all church ministries; our standard, as the Body of Christ, is the pattern of the One who came “not to be served, but to serve” (Mark 10:45), and who taught “as one having authority” (Mark 1:22).

All Christians are called through their baptism to this ministry of servanthood, which we call discipleship, in the world. The focus of our discipleship is based on the needs of our location, our interests and gifts, yet is always rooted in the ways of Jesus Christ in spirit and outreach.
